RIP Gerard. Loved to hate him when he managed the shite, but seemed a warm and thoroughly decent bloke. 73 seems very young, for some reason.

Agree, always came across as a decent human first and foremost, although I doubt Cantona agrees.

As an aside, loads of references to him being a treble winning manager with Liverpool, but no mention that it was a cup treble, so usual Liverpool media bias.

Also no mentions that he left Liverpool after the fans had turned on him and he was asked to resign by the board.
