Probably the old Hydrolastic suspension, similar to my Dad's old Austin 1300 of the same era, I remember the hydraulics were split left and right, you would often see one driving down the road lopsided where one side had leaked pressure :D
like travelling in a bouncy castle. we even had to take our shoes off
