    I’ve had verbal confirmation from the very nice @M_V that he would be down for building the bike, I wouldn’t blame him for changing his mind as things develop, “the customer asks too much!?”, “it’s not worth it!” “They ride a 56 caad, it’s as otp as one can get!!!”, “just put some damn spacers on you Vain prick!!!” Etc etc

    It’s all very exciting,

    the spec is similar to what i sent to PI, almost the same, i emailed the lovely ande on the off chance thinking he'd tell me to fuck off, but here we are,

    the vibe:

    "a a classic cx frame someone has forced modern mtb tyres on, flat bars and some frankenstein bmx fork, after riding it they found it flexed a bit worrying chucking it down over step downs so they welded a frame support in"

    but a lot to discuss there in time!

    build wise outside the frame i'm thinking FULL TOSSER:

    classic dirt drops? funky swept risers? jones?!?!?
    oury grips and cotton tape
    mtb levers vs top exit levers? (bar dependent)
    bar end shifter vs trigger shifter (bar dependent)
    ofc funky coloured cables
    ahead but small clamp diameter
    maybe deore hubs laced to some trendy rims? velocity? vo?
    silver finnishing kit (nitto?)
    middleburn cranks 1x
    xtr rear mech and brakes
    cambium
    absurdly wide gearing
    chonky sim works/terravail/tyres
    nice headset (not hope or ck tho) maybe a WI? a tange?
    a fitting heavy load front rack to carry my WW basket bag

    ideally i want to buy most of this used outside of consumables, i really like worn parts visually, again for tosser reasons such as not riding my bikes far/long enough, but also i'd rather someone eat the depreciation for me and it's a bit more eco.

    maybe ready for when bridal paths become useful in april? who knows, the longer i can long this out the more reason to keep living imo
