Kintsukuroi, as the Japanese say

I did ask them about a steel Bokeh but they have no plans for one. I'm not so worried about the cost of the Mason frame so much as paying a premium for custom, custom paint, super tart builds that I scratch fuck out of.

When you buy used and it already has dents it's much easier to think "fuck it". I'm far more concerned about my new GRX shifters and bar tape (which will deffo get fucked up when I hit the deck first) than the frame.

hi all, here a picture of my new gravel bike, i hope you like it
-
• #14682
Kinda lost here, nice bikes are nice and I look after my bikes...but I enjoy riding them more than I like admiring them. If I scratch the paintwork or cosmetically damage it in some way while riding, I’m less than concerned.

@Belagerent might be time to colonise the monster cross thread if this keeps up, if they're posting this in the mudpocalypse months, bone dry bridal pavé will be an unbearable collection of 2021 disc roadbikes with 33's in the front

Good and some great parts ánd a Dutch steel frame; yes, I like that a lot.

Dont know, but I think they're pretty sensible at this time of year with low light.

Amazing, coolest bike on here for age. Haters gonna hate but that's always the case when you speak the truth.
-
• #14691
Very nice!
I'm also gravelling with an old Gazelle (1980's CM) with enough clearance for 32c + mud. There would be even space for 35c. -

Refreshing to see one normal bike in this carnival of horrors

Tier 3: Very High Alert

Peak 🍕
The safety pizza is analogous of our times.
personally every time i take the ol' steed onto the council pavé i get home, wash it and reach for my small crucible and 24ct gold coins i have around for the occasion
i'll melt down a coin or two (for those days i've really sent it , know what i mean ;)) and then apply said gold to the stone chip locations.
that's me tho, i have a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. i simply appreciate beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" in nature.
im just quirky like that :)
