BTW which headset is that one?

Classic bend bars away from total perfection
-
• #2781
Looks like a campagnolo record headset

The point of these MGOFs is that they are fully functional modern road machines, so I think shallow bars are acceptable. All decisions should be made for ridability. Whenever I see one with classic bars, I think thatβs for the look, which is not what MGOF is about IMO.

A good point well made π

Classic bend without traditional drop does exist though (probably not in quill flavour however)
The flat drops of a round bend bar are super comfortable for me

IMHO the appeal of compact bars is more in the flat transition from ramp to hood than the drop itself.
All decisions should be made for ridability.
Absolutely.

Indeed it is. Cheers.

Superb. So much rep for that.

Oooooff yes. A fine example.
Is that a threaded headset with adaptor, or ahead?
-
• #2790
Looks like ahead to me.

I don't think traditional bends are disfunctional with modern brifters perse. I'll go as far as saying the aethethics of a flat transition are of more importance than the perceived ergnomic aspects for many.
For my own builds the choice between compact or traditional is all about ridability, where I want the hoods to be with aesthetics being secondary to that.

That's really neat!

That's nice! I like how you can keep the original forks as is.
I've converted to ahead with a BBB converter but that required for the fork threads to be cut off....

Ent for a ride qith a colleague, who had his maiden ride on a bike that I forced him to buy. I'd say black post & stem and whenever the possibillity occurs, a straight time fork? Deep carbon rims for show maybe.

By the way I just noticed these yellow brake pads. Aren't those for cf rims? Lovely matchy matchy and all, but that can't be right, right?

They are definitely for carbon rims. Lovely bike but socks under tights π

• #2798
socks over tights imo. WWBD

A straight Time (or Look, or Mizuno, or Easton) fork would be really nice on this. I think the silver post is actually okay because it interacts well with the chromed stays. The stem could be fine too with a silver headset and spacers.

Polished alu stays. π
Saw this first time in hhsrb. Blew my mind and made me go here once more. This weekend will be spent indoors.
