I’ve got a few years and lots of off road miles on an alloy (Endless Bike Co) SS sprocket. It’s obviously worn, but still works well.
Disclaimer: Yes. I know this thread is in reference to fixed sprockets. My example is meant to illustrate that alloy sprockets can be used without turning immediately to dust.
