SRAM shifters are very easy to take apart, clean, replace worn parts, and rebuild. I did it to my wife's bike this summer while on holiday in France, in a campsite, on a picnic table, with only basic tools, after watching a couple of YouTube vids.
If the red plastic cable holder thing is broken you may be able to buy a spare online.
I’ve only had the group 6 months brand new, off forum member. I’ll make sure I’m stocked up on spares (can’t find the red bit online though) so I can fix in future.
I used to have Red on my road bike and loved it. Force 1x has been disappointing. Wish I’d gone GRX
