I find this kind of thing almost Python-esque. Like, the captain of the navy ship ordering his men to battlestations and setting a ramming course.
Is that meant to be a serious, meaningful threat - that the Navy are going spend time and resources chasing individual small French crabbing boats.
Ireland has the navy helping out with fishing enforcement not sure how busy it is with that and what success rate is. It is a thing.
They aren't threatening to chase out companies with existing fishing rights.
