The product really would be helped by some kind of hook that prevents the hand from falling of forward if you hit something. The lever usually has that function.

Just what I was thinking, wouldnt it be better if it protruded more?
-

I have recently popped these bad boys on and can confirm they are pretty sick - wrapping may take a couple of attempts but i'm super pleased, thanks for sending out!

There is actually a hook, but it is minnimal and it gets exaggerated when wrapped that helps to mantain hand stable. Trust us! more than 2000km on these!

Then wrapping wouldnt be possible. And when you hold the hood 2 fingers go underneath the bar, so it is quite different than regular hoods, but feels stable af

i'm a kid and i think the deep drop pista bars with no grips are gorgeous

You’re also wrong.

no accounting for taste i guess, at least we can agree that sawn off risers look terrible?
-
• #38
I'm just about to saw off some risers myself.

that's fair enough, what's your reasoning, fitting through gaps or is it a visual thing? did you have drops and just find yourself always riding in the middle and want to do barspins? how narrow you going as well?

@ICanPedalBicycles i think the idea is great, for the regular fixed gear bicycle riders like me it is great to have hoods on a drop bar without the need of using regular brake handles and cutting off the levers. i would modify the shape to be less mountain-like inverted V shape and make it more like P letter shape like the regular road brake bars but without the levers and 3d printed . please work on a new design it is much needed. your current design looks like you could probably slipp off while holding it because it is not very tall. i attach a picture of my current design it works fine.

Why not get a bike that fits and use bullhorns?
-
• #43
With bullhorns, you wouldn't have the option of riding on the drops.
-

The grip is quite different than regular hoods. Please see photos. Also your lever position seems to compensate a bicycle that is too big for you.

Hello how can I order some of these???
-
• #48
Could do exactly the same thing by wraping extra bar tape on the curve..job done
-
• #49
Might look similar, might help with grip a little better, but no. These really make a huge difference. Try them out!
