I don’t want to see it stripped down... stunning bike! But If you were to strip down to the frame set - what would you like for that?

I'd need to figure out what I can get for the remaining parts but I'd say about 60% of the price of the bike.
51% at the very minimum in order to decide in favour of breaking it, haha.

Haha. I am 186 cm (or 6ft 1.5" for you). The saddle height in the pic is the correct one for me but the stem is way too long for me at this frame size at 13 cm. I've later got an identical stem in 10 cm length that would suit me perfectly but I've never had time to swap it out.
Obviously, the riding position depends on many factors but I hope this gives you an idea.

Hello. Do you know the distance from the ground to the top tip of the horizontal tube ?
Thank you. -
• #20
About 84-85 cm, if I got it right.
-
• #21
Oh no !!! It’s huge. I would have paid for this instantly if it was my size.
-
• #22
Well, the frame size is stated in the initial post.
Out of interest, what's your height?
-
• #23
I ride a Raleigh Veloce Reynolds 531 1990 and it is size 54.5cm. When I stand I get clearance of about 1.5cm to 2cm only. The distance from the ground to the top tip of the horizontal tube is 81cm. This bike of yours is big. I think if I stop at the traffic lights I will most likely land and crush them.

Sure is! Not just too tall but it would be way too long for you as well.

Do you have either De Rosa Professional or Colnago Mexico or Pinarello Banesto or is it just this one ?
For sale is my long-standing project, pride and joy - a crown jewel of my collection - 1985 De Rosa Professional SLX with very good condition original paint and chrome for its age, equipped with mint 1994 Campagnolo Record Carbon 8s groupset and low mileage Gipiemme Tecno 416 clinchers.
Top tube (center-to-center): ~57.5 cm
Seat tube (center-to-center): ~59.5 cm
Stem: 13 cm (different ones available)
It might be sold configured just a little bit different as compared to the pic (normal bottle cage, different saddle and perhaps different tyres).
Asking £1300 > NOW £1100. Potentially available split to logical groups of parts too (frameset, groupset, wheels).
PM for better photos.
Thanks.
