  • I nearly went for that one, but wanted the steel fork. In an ideal world, I would have liked to have had the pink Mr Pink (but didn't have the funds when that one was out).
Nice build so far, CK headset, nice!

  • Ridable already just waiting for the thomson stem to get a proper photos

    Yes sir ck right there
    And 6800 groupy

  • Finally got the wheels. Can ride her now to work out if any tweaks are required, perhaps shorten the steerer further. Its pretty.

  • This is going up for sale pretty soon if anyone is intereted.

  • This is really nice. What size ?

  • Just finished building up this Macho Man - lots of it sourced from the forum

Maybe deserves a nicer stem and seatpost in the future, but I'm very happy with how this thing rides!

  • 56.5 but 55cm in all city size..

  • Frameset or full build?

  • It's sold now my man.

  • Haha, I'm not surprised. Good work.

  • New rear wheel today & new Rock n Road tyres.

I think I'm done (once I get that front tyre seated correctly.

  • Nice one, is your front tyre is properly aligned?

  • I'm struggling to get the tyre to seat on the rim.

Have just fitted them, so hoping that it pops on at some point.

  • have you tried the old "pump up to 100 or more psi" and bike wash to help the tyre pop on trick?

  • It happened to me sometimes but just put more air on it will fit, or remove the air and pump it again but make sure all line is the same, one day rather than one day your wheel wobbling

  • Like that. How are you finding the shifters?

  • hoping that it pops on at some point.

It's not recommended to ride without the tyres fully seated.

  • Fairy liquid and 120PSI usually does it for me

  • Just roll it with the base of your palms. Grab the tyre where it is seated incorrectly (facing you) at the top of the wheel with both hand and push your palms up and towards the opposite side of the rim. Plus give it roughly a billion PSI, just before it bursts. Bounce it a couple of times just to double check and it should be fine. Maybe let some pressure out before you head out though.

  • Often regret selling my Macho Man. Had it in my head it was too heavy - in reality it wasn’t. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Would love an Electric Queen next.

  • I like them a lot. Friction mode feels super satisfying and nicer than a bunch of clicking.

Having said that, I do think they're priced quite steeply considering they're essentially microshift bar end shifters modded onto tektro levers.
