I don’t think bats in the uk have anything to do with pollination. They’re all insectivorous. Many tropical bats do pollinate plants and also disperse seeds. I did a study years ago into regeneration of cleared rain forests and all the species of tree that recolonised without human intervention depended on bats to disperse the seeds.
They get a bad rep, like moths, but also like moths they’re crucial for plant pollination. I do enjoy watching the local one/s flapping about at night, looking for unwary photogenic youths to bite.
