  • Classic bend without traditional drop does exist though (probably not in quill flavour however)

    The flat drops of a round bend bar are super comfortable for me

  • I don't think traditional bends are disfunctional with modern brifters perse. I'll go as far as saying the aethethics of a flat transition are of more importance than the perceived ergnomic aspects for many.

    For my own builds the choice between compact or traditional is all about ridability, where I want the hoods to be with aesthetics being secondary to that.

    I've done many thousands of miles on this, with these bars:

    (Now rebuilt with a slightly different build kit, but same stem/bars/seatpost).
