EU referendum, brexit and the aftermath

I find it amazing people still defend brexit after its completely no longer what was promised.

Originally I smelt bullshit hugely but the government leave campaign promised access to single market Yadda Yadda.

Now that those people are actually in power...it's fine. All is forgotten.

How can you have such low self esteem that you love this sort of treatment I honestly don't know...it's gone well last the "it's complicated / political engineering" phase.

Has a country ever voted, repeatedly, to fuck itself up in such a drastic way before?

After Brexit I felt quite cheerful the USA had elected Trump in a sort of 'hold my pint' kind of way. However, they only did that once. So now I'm less cheerful. While still glad the Giant Orange Babyman is going to be out of office soon.

Venezuela? US? Zimbabwe?
