Wow, seems alot without tracing the actual fault. Seems like the do everything and who cares.
Sounds like the garage that so far has claimed the head gasket has failed, then the water pump has failed and wanting £70 for a waterpump, that is more than ford charge. But still not looking at common fault on the engine being the plastic thermostat housing cracking. Oh and a garage even said that the car needs a cambelt when the waterpump is changed...not on this engine...great diagnostic.
Still not had a BMW that has kept the water inside the engine. Waterpumps in particular seem to be made of chocolate. The whole system (radiators and all) seems to need doing around 80k.
