Competitive leases have been almost non-existent this year, I really wouldn't bank on it. I follow the lease deals thread on Pistonheads quite closely and picked up my last two cars thanks to intel there, it has been slim pickings this year.

However, we may see a flurry of deals from VAG on recently released MQB Evo platform cars (Golf, Leon, Octavia, etc) as they try to flood the market. Even if that's the case I doubt we'll see the kind of stonking deals there were a few years ago on the likes of Golf Rs and Cupras.

All the merc battery is a merc label battery as merc don't make batteries.

Just get a decent brand calcium battery with a 5 year guarantee and don't worry about it.

Note that some cars need to be informed that the battery has been replaced.

Wow, seems alot without tracing the actual fault. Seems like the do everything and who cares.

Sounds like the garage that so far has claimed the head gasket has failed, then the water pump has failed and wanting £70 for a waterpump, that is more than ford charge. But still not looking at common fault on the engine being the plastic thermostat housing cracking. Oh and a garage even said that the car needs a cambelt when the waterpump is changed...not on this engine...great diagnostic.

Keep looking at that exhaust and am a bit meh, looks like pre bent pieces welded together. Prefer the mandrel bent flowing pipes. Then the joy of trying to get every pipe the same length and clear everything.

Looks like it was indeed the battery. £671.88 for the battery and labour to fit it, which is happily paid for by the dealer I bought the car from.

Now you and I might think that if you'd spent damn near £700 to have a £205 battery fitted then Mercedes Benz Bromley might wash your car ahead of pick up - and you my friend are living in a fantasy world. I have no idea what sort of money you'd need to spend with them for that sort of level of service, but I suspect it's a minimum of six figures.
