Cheers all. Think I'll go down the route of booting it if it doesn't hold as it is. Currently ok with 20psi or so but not going to ride on that
@Luke yeah i figured life would be easier if it wasn't the sidewall.
@pastry_bot good point that didn't occur to me. I'd read (in the first fucking post) about using a flexible rubber glue, so did that. Assumed because it was rubberised it would be fine with the tire.

RT (rubber toughened) superglue is used because it is flexible, where standard will crack up as the tyre flexes. It doesn't bond any better or worse to rubber than standard.
