  • As in, if I bought it at your place or just took it back for service but bought elsewhere?

I mean I’d rather not go to London. I’ve been told “it’s all the same”, so you can take it wherever is closest but not sure if they can deal with the exchange part and then sort it out with Tudor themselves?
Anyway... I’ll see what they say when I call them sometime this week.

Except it may be different companies and therefore a loss on the new ADs books.

And even within companies, different locations means different books.

  • Nice part of the world.

  • Yes, possibly. As I said, I don’t know how it works exactly. Just have to wait to see what they say.

  • If the watch was bought from me . We tend to try and avoid taking in watches under warranty bought somewhere else , nobody wants to inherit somebody else’s problem for no money .

  • Makes total sense. I’ll give the local AD a call as they sorted out the “repair” and see what they say.

  • Lovely, the return of the king 8-)

  • Oh hecking heck yes!

  • COSC is, basically, -4/+6 as Stonehenge said. There are no other widely accepted independent certifications of a chronometer as far as I’m aware. Omega’s METAS “master chronometer” certification is their own definition (adding magnetic resistance), as is Rolex’s “superlative chronometer” standard of -2/+2.

  • Fair enough. It’s still outside of that though.

Did you measure in all 5 positions amd take an average? You cant really tell from just one position.

  • No, not really. Just based my opinion on what the blue one was like - stupidly accurate regardless if worn or not worn.

  • Both 58s in the window of Goldsmiths Southampton if anyone's looking:

  • I'm really going off Tudor myself. Not to tarnish your watch but went to pick up the Harrods Edition as the dial had missed printing, took about 3.5 months to sort, went to finally pick it up due to Covid and they've scratched the sides of the case and the clasp on the bracket when it was unworn when I gave it to them. All their offering me now is to send it back to polish out the damage they caused. The QC seems very poor to me. I didn't except it back after battling it out with the manager and left them to contact Tudor as I wanted my replaced also but due to Covid it's knocked it well outside the usuals dates. My friends also had the date issue with the GMT and it happened again after being sent off for repair. He got rid and brought an Oris.

  • Post about the 58's seems a bit worthless now, Sorry.

  • Yeah, I’m not sure what to make of it. The blue didn’t skip a beat and it was virtually perfect. But fussy me had to get rid. And here I am.

  • Misprinted dial?

  • Had part of the text missing:

I initially didn't notice as I thought it was a shadow cast by the hands but when I took a close up with my camera this was the result.

  • When I was browsing/buying on Saturday, Chisholm Hunter in Kingston had both BB58s in the window but the blue was on a 12-15 month wait list. Black available in January. So I bought an Omega (elsewhere as CH don’t do Omega, or not in that store anyway)

  • Wow that’s pretty terrible. , love the colour on the harrods though, if it was bb58 size it would be perfect.

  • Reminded me of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU9oTxhQ4HM&ab_channel=LastWatch

Not ragging on the brand by any means, for what I'm looking for in a next purchase will most likely be a Tudor.

  • Ha, yeah, luckily mine it's quite that bad. Far from ideal though.

  • I wonder it in 20 years time it would fetch money because the dials haven’t been printed correctly?

  • Sorry to hear about their shit customer service, must be super frustrating with an expensive watch like that:(

  • I came across this watch and I love it, wish it was a bit cheaper:/
