I’m not sure. It looks like it might be folded in, tucked under the ratchet wheel somehow. The spring that keeps it under tension has ridden up a bit, leading me to believe it’s not just a chunk that snapped off, but rather that metal part has shifted out of alignment.
@JoeC Can you see the part Nekature’s talking about inside the shifter, horizontal under the ratchet wheel?
