  • What kind of woolen (knit) hats are there that also protect ears from wind, still look like "normal" hats (not like outdoor-y special equipment things), and that use something different than the GoreTex Infinum stuff?
    ..while this keeps wind out it also is like a crakly foil that makes annoing crakly sounds right at your fucking ears all the time.
    Surely there must be some that use a windstoppery fleece type material hats alas I can't seem to find them.

  • I use a merino beanie like this and it works a treat, pulled down a bit further. Thin enough to use under a helmet, light enough to wear inside and warm enough to ride with.

  • Um, just a wool toque?
    Something like @Hjusth posted; you can get thicker, thinner, lined with polar fleece if you're sensitive, the variations are endless.
