If you're in the UK I reckon a jimny is a better shout due to the reasonable numbers sold and aftermarket parts/modding community.

Jimnys are great but last I heard (from a Suzuki dealer) is they’ve stopped supplying them and there’s a long long waiting list for the few that do come over

Get some bricks in the back!

Maybe they should be the driven wheels under the heavy engine so it doesn't do that?
I'll write to them.

Or possibly distribution of the power to all four wheels....

Farmer favourite.. Reliable, good towing, and independent suspension. Slow and rust is an issue like most japanese cars of that era.

New wheels; bought and fitted on a driveway in the rain. Good times.

Looks good.. Your car is a lovely colour! A friend had an E36 328i touring in a similar colour.

Yeah I’m definitely a fan of the Oxford green II. 70 motorway miles on the new wheels and they feel marginally better in the wet, but I’m convinced this is psychosomatic more than anything.

Don't you mean....
.... psychopneumatic.

Fourtraks are pretty much indestructible, and are brilliant for towing, as well as getting through mud and snow. Loads more comfortable than a defender and does most things a defender can do. Brother has one as a farm truck, and it never gets stuck.

Their marketing slogan was "The best 4x4xfar". On that alone, I thought they were cool

@hurricane_run @Sam_w @ricky2slicky sounds like a great little car. They just look so functional and imagine they have everything you need without being too complicated.
@nefarious living the dream, car looks lovely and glad the new wheels went on a treat.

I wondered what the “RS” meant on the transmission controller.

^^^That launch control thing was what happened in the Taycan Dov posted a while back I think. Except they were trying to park at the time.

Hah! Well, I’ll leave it alone unless and until I find myself on the line at Santa Pod. Or at the traffic lights and bored.

I have got a lot of time for this. Nice one C.

Even the rims look original. Lovely shade of green too.
Reminds me of a similar era Toyota I inherited from my grandmother.
Yeah. I was that kid with the ancient station wagon at school. It took the place of my beloved Oldsmobile after it died. My sister and I drove it across the US in the summer of 1990 to take it to her uni in Massachusetts. Good times.

I have an insurance question, that hopefully someone can help with.
My brother was driven into a couple of weeks ago, a learner driver pulled onto a roundabout as my brother was going round, and has smashed into his rear door, so door is knackered as is the rear panel, and unsure if there is any damage to sub frame etc. Guy at the scene admitted fault, swapped details etc, all seemed fine.
He rang his insurance company straight away, and they said they would ring the other partys insurer(LV) and get it all sorted, since then my brother has rang his insurer every day and has been told that they can't get through to LV, and they are only allowed to wait on the phone for 10 minutes on hold, they have told him that he can claim on his own insurance, but he would then have to pay his excess and try and claim it back.
Anyone got any tips he can do to try and get LV to actually sort this out, is he allowed to call LV himself?

my mate's mum had a corona - a 2L manual in banana yellow. I got in big trouble for pinching it on school leavers week. it did amazing burnouts.
Dunno if they are any good but I've always thought they were cool!
