I'm tackling the alcove shelving in the next few weeks any eyeing up various finishes.
Would it be better to go for a laminated plywood than using regular plywood and painting the tops? I'd like the bonded finish on the edges but white on top. If that makes no sense I apologise.
I'm leaning towards the laminated stuff but is it easy enough to work with and cut without chipping the laminate?
There was a discussion a few pages back in cutting laminated chipboard with chipping the laminate. Conclusion was it's very difficult without power tools and specialist blades. I would imagine ply to be the same.
