I think they are the only 'discounter' type retailer of any sort thats actually decent. Staff in any store i've visited over 10-20 years have been spot on, know their stuff, aren't contracending and aren't pushing you into something thats no use to you.
They seem to play along nice with independent retailers too, helped a few times when they didn't have the stock but they knew a local shop that might and the other way around.
I'm from Cumbria, so tend to use Peter Tyson, been based in Carlisle forever, again decent folk.
