  • They seem like not quite as much of a space upgrade from my verso (possibly caddy maxi, though. Will investigate further). Basically I need something that can house kids in back, dog in boot (in cage) plus still potentially have room for a fuck off great tent and 2 adults + 2 kids levels of camping crap. But also I only want the one car so it needs to be vaguely practical. I guess most people go Transporter as they’re one of the least hideous of this sort of thing?

@grams it needs to be fairly reliable and comfortable. Maybe around 5 years old max? Still in hypothetical stages, but budget somewhere around 10-15k max

Apparently they're more "car like" than some of the alternatives, but I haven't driven one to know.

How often are you going camping? It might make more sense to stick with a small car and hire a big MPV only when you need it.

  • Camping probably represents the maximum amount of crap it would need to carry and only a few times a year. But on a more day to day basis, there’s bikes, scooters etc to carry, and doggo takes up most of my boot at the moment.
