Well well well, I managed to borrow a Shimano hollow tech II NDS crank from a guy in my cycling club. Looks like Sugino copied the Hollowtech II design for their DD2 design.
The Shimano crank fits perfectly; even the Sugino adjusting bolt fits.
So the purpose of this exercise; if anyone wants to add a power crank to their 'sweet fixi' and doesn't want to add pedals or the 7710 stages PM, there is now a third option!
