Two reasons, 1, that always happens because for some reason changes in the current retail price of Rolex and Omega always seem to have an immediate effect on the secondary market. 2, due to the movement change the old one is likely to be seen as more authentic and original, hence more desirable.
I meant why would the current model increase in price when the new one comes out
