I'm indifferent to most of the changes (bar the price hike!), but much prefer the 1861's bracelet.
I'd buy it now. And if you like the new one more, sell it and buy the new one and and with the difference, buy a porsche.

Second that, 16mm taper is a bit too narrow imo.
