Your place looks great! Loads of good stuff in there to work with. I love the stained glass. We have a beaut of a frosted/etched (?) yacht on our front door. It's on my list...
The coastguard cottage is being done up now - lots of scaffolding and stuff. IIRC it didn't have much garden, which may have been why we didn't consider it.
Similarly the blue one you mentioned had a super awesome view and was pretty decent inside but only a small terrace back garden I think. If you're over here any time soon give us a shout. I went through your endz the other day to get some firewood from Nash's. I don't understand what they did with the other two roads...! (joke)

We may still follow in your footsteps in 5 or 10 years' time!
Think of all the house you'll be able to afford in NI if/when you make the move!

From memory this happened to me and the expansion vessel needed replacing. Heating on full blast non stop.
£2 a month or whatever I pay for M&S emergency care as part of my contents insurance has been well worth it.

Ha! Yeah, it's no longer the driving lesson nightmare junction it once was!

I know! We could have essentially been mortgage free with this move but aren't quite done with London yet. And with this house, we can't really complain about lack of space or having nothing to do in any lockdowns.

Congratulations, T4! I know I don't have to say this, but when going sea-swimming, make sure you observe the correct etiquette.

I know it's not the South, but ever since I met Mick and kl I've assumed certain standards apply in the North, too. :)
I don't suppose you got to keep the grandfather clock?

There is apparently dry robe bashing here too. But thankfully it seems the the group near me are ok with them as quite a few are Tri or ex Tri and it's not frowned upon in triathlons. Well that's what my aunt, who is a semi frequent attendee, tells me.
Nevertheless I shall be careful not to put a foot wrong on day one to mark me out.
Apparently wet suits are a huge no no...No grandfather clock but we do have a charming array of kitsch nautical themed light fittings, barometers, hygrometers and the like...

Ooof, the symmetry is very pleasing...

There's a local meet about 200 yards from the house called the Chunky Dunkers
There's a bunch of ladies near me that wild swim, The Blue Tits...

I don't know many engineers apart from the makers who stock lots of parts in there van especially when parts cam be hundreds of pounds.
We stock the common baxi parts in our van but work on all makes and models of boilers, I think people who expect small companies to stock parts and expect same day parts are delusional.

Yeah, try not to stand out in the crowd.

Ingenious but incredibly laborious!

I assume because Tri people have the most out of any people doing any sport so more is more. Anything else is simpler.

Very nice house!

Yeah. Heating on full blast. Working from home in the kitchen, which has the radiator turned off (because its the fucking kitchen). Office work at home is dangerous. Kitchen is opposite downstairs loo which is like a freezer.
Anyway. Somehow I have to help other people in my house feel warm without having the heating on.

Yep - this is why I suggest if it is the boiler that’s shat the bed it might be a less protracted process to try the manufacturer for a repair as well as trades people recommended on here.

I didn’t have a good experience with yogigas.

Simon Phillips is always recommended for boiler repair in SE6 but i haven't used him myself.

Congrats.
Which solicitors out of interest?

The Partnership. They were about a grand cheaper than the best local ones for a sale + purchase. Got us over the line eventually but they've not exactly been proactive.

Wow, congrats, that ginormous house (177 m2 lol) and lovely garden too!
Ha, sounds amazing, prob something I could get into myself...
Thats something we worked out when looking at Bath too, not much more for your money than London.
Keen to ride the canal to Bristol this coming summer hopefully....
