TBH 5 years ago we weren't thinking about leaving London at all.
3 years ago we were tired of the place (the noise, traffic, cost) and we made the move to Bath.
And less than a year ago we realised that all the things we really were looking for - nice big house, decent garden, close to sea, close to nice countryside and places to visit and go camping - were all MUCH cheaper in Northern Ireland...
I have a sneaking suspicion that 15 years from now we'll be in a 1 pub village on the west coast of ireland somewhere.
But for now this is all good :)
We moved over to NI on Friday 13th Nov and it's good to be back by the sea. Had my lunch today 30 secs from the house, on a bench looking out to Scotland.

Mostly unpacked now, and contemplating what order to do the various bits of work required -
good idea to raise it so it's currently a foot higher than internally.
Can't afford all of it now, but we'll see how we go.
