How are they expats if it's holiday homes? :/

The more Brexit success we see the more I consider moving to the west coast of Scotland.

Port Glasgow is lovely at this time of year

And this sort of thing is typical: The Brits abroad get all their rights removed, no exception for them to keep anything as they moved abroad before Brexit.
But OK "take back control"...

Also the conversation that Fi and I are having... Scotland looks very attractive as a place to live.

It's not their only home abroad.

Scotland is Ace, in Aberdeenshire WFH with a view of a hill! MTB and Road biking on your doorstep, right to roam and wild camp. If you like that sort of thing, also, East coast doesn't rain nearly as much as all that!

Midges in the summer so?

That's only a few days though.

Lived in Aberdeen for ten years, was glad to get away from the place TBH. Edinburgh is ace. Glasgow is great but way more consistently edgy/dirty. Good to go out in Glasgow but leave and go back home

Short daylight too.
Or long daylight.

Midge's not too bad, not as bad as the west coast, also, doesn't get so hot you need air conditioning! Lived in Aberdeen for a couple of years before moving out into the sticks and really like it out here, thankful for it through lock down as well!

Or long daylight.
Camping was fun.

Glasgow mid nineties was very sudden massive ten minutes early spring snowstorm sitting in the car before visiting my mate in the Mackintosh art building. And walls full with whiskey in the pubs in the evenings.

George Osbourne of all people:

Can we have a nationwide sarcastic clapping every Thursday for those who voted for this?
-
• #27720
Scotland is amazing. Coming from a proud Scot, I may be a bit biased :)

Pedant alert. You went to Glasgow and had whiskey?
-
• #27722
Mid nineties innit, way too many e’s floating about. Some were bound to make their way into the drink.

Your lifestyle is like an ad for the place :)

Could we just have a civil war and thin the herd instead?

I think I'm a bit too passive-aggressive for that. I'd prefer a lifetime of slow claps.
I really don’t, already supplier is a big issues on top of COVID-19 with bike shops.
