How are the Klampers?
-
• #127940
Yeah, it's a proper mess in here. Will start tidying when I find the time.

They're good, but Avid BB7s are much better.
-
• #127943
Klamper is essentially just a shiny made in USA bb7 though?
I read that Spyre’s were better when researching... hopefully I rack up 20+ likes on IG and it’ll all be worth it.

What's the advantage of cable-operated hydro calipers? Auto pad depth adjustment? Mechanical advantage? Both?
-
• #127946
It's all about the feel, man
-
• #127947
with cable discs you don't just need to pull the lever further but also harder to engage the pads more, whereas with hyrdaulics the resistance is the same for the whole length of the lever pull meaning you can brake harder for less effort. Also hydraualic ones auto adjust for pad wear.

Are those cheapo Zoom hydro cable callipers even worth considering? They're alluringly dirt cheap...
-
• #127949
Do they come in flat mount or is the F1 the same? + work for ‘Campag pull’?
-
• #127950
Yes they come in flat mount, 2 or 4 pot , and work well with campag levers.
Yeah that's fit
