Can I have a coffee?
Can you get me a coffee?
I would like a coffee, please can you make me one in exchange for money?Talking of coffee. I hate coffee shop workers who leave the milk steamer rod wiping cloth on the worksurface. I'd call them Batista's, bit surely a barista knows not to do that?

As a person from Scotland, I prefer the term Scotch.
But yes, "want a juice fae the shoap?"
"Aye, get us a can ay bru" -

Would you like a Bucky with that?
edit: I would like to acknowledge that Irn Bru is one of lifes greatest pleasures, and am eternally grateful to the Scotch for juicing that

Seconded. Hashtag bring back rep etc.
The target for Mister Bleach's sarcastic shitpost downloads are keenly aligned with the recurring shit on here that sets off my cringe reflex.

If someone asked you 'where did you get that coffee' would you say 'Sorry I didn't get it I b(r)ought it'?
The coffee was got at some point.

I don't really get the "get" hate. I would say "could I get" (no idea if it even makes sense just a habit) rather than "can I get" but other than that - "get" is obviously a colloquialism for "acquire" or "obtain", it doesn't mean strictly and exclusively "fetch for myself".

Can confirm that Josie Long is indeed lovely in person, very smart, sound and funny when she’s not trying to be funny, ie on stage.

They are for knuckle-draggers, for sure.
Or is that just the pitiful aged moaning of a mid-lifer who is destined to raise his handlebars even more, month on month?
OTOH, some of those 80’s low profiles were woeful. The bar height was higher than the drops on a regular frame. -

Scotch mate of mine who’d lived in London for years went back to Glasgow and asked for a fish supper with chips. The shame.
Did you misquote the first three on purpose? 😬
