I was looking at whistable when I was thinking about moving back to the uk. It’s on the high speed line (ok expensive and not that fast), good schools, amazing period property and a nice town. All of those Kent/ Thanet seaside towns are worth a look imo.

I quite fancy Cliftonville. Margate station just round the corner and Walpole Tidal Pool on your doorstep.

I haven't checked prices, but I'd assumed that if we could afford the cost of somewhere nice in Whitstable we could afford somewhere nice in London. In which case I'd be lobbying to move back.
Also it's Kent. And while I'm sure the prestige has pushed natives out, I worry that there might still be a few.

Anyone live/d or near South End or Leigh-on-Sea?
We go to South End occasionally as it's an easy trip and we like beach and water. Mainly breakfast then down to the end past all the arcades. Average primary schools and covid have us toying with the idea of moving at some point.
Places like Poole are too far away from my family and work opportunities, so that sort of area seemed worth thinking about.
Thoughts?
