the problem i have with the dogcam is putiing it in and out of the clamp fucks the alignment. i am sure there is a better way...
also - you need one of these big fuck off racing mirrors - they are amazing.

My factory rear view mirror fell off various times on saturday, i ended up just removing it completely. I don't really need it.
I should really replace it for the road sections but the cage in my car, the top screen bar is quite a long way from the rear view mirror so i can't really fit one of those cage mounted ones

We used to run Dogcam in our escort connected to some sort of small digital recorder under one of the seats, that worked pretty good. Gopro has a lot more user friendly features though and gives you a lot of adjustability on the fly
