  • @Dammit @Soul

Dammit buys a new car saying he will not spend money on it :/ two weeks later :D

  • Probably cheaper than you buying the non-s and then redesigning the engine to get to the same power :p

  • Interesting, the Rainsport 3s sound good, deffo another one to consider!

Would you go for those over ZV7s for any reason?

  • These are big old units, I do think silver looks far better than white or black.

  • Yeah, no way a V10 M5 won’t cost the earth at some point.

So much more character than any Mercedes though. They’re just so fucking dull.

  • If you buy one of these and want to keep
it stock it has to be the S.
Unless you don't want to go faster than 250 kmh in Germany of course

  • No experience with Avon tyres reviews look OK though

  • Demon tweeks have had a few good deals on tyres.

  • @NurseHolliday Dale’s was top for sure. He got low 10s in that thing didn’t he? Had to be over 700.

Fury lump was six hundred and something on the engine dyno, so I reckon you should be able to top that easy enough @Dammit

  • I know a really good mobile tyre fitter, if anyone needs. He is pretty competitive withe online dudes, once you factor in the fitting and the fuckaround

  • I don't know about the old one he had when he first went back to Oz but the most recent one in the street machine video was 732!

  • I fitted the new shocks, springs and arb to the racer this weekend in about 4 hours. I was expecting it to take way longer than that (if I was even able to do it). The springs ended up being short enough that I didn’t need to compress them. It is a bit of an arseache on a b because you can’t use compressors and the worry was that the car isn’t heavy enough to compress them.

I also found (I think) the cause of the oil pudding out the front of the engine. I * may * not need to pull the engine!

    Bonuses all round!

  • Standard turbos only run 13psi apparently, a little tweak of that will get well into the 600s I think.

  • The stock E63 can be mapped to 670 flywheel reliably*, but tbh this (so far theoretical) car will remain stock.

    * of course take this with a pinch of salt as it’s not an engine Dyno figure

  • Dale got 766Kw recently on the dyno, according to his Instagram- fuck knows what that is in old money

  • Fuckloads! 1000+

  • ah big thanks for this S. really appreciated.

will be doing a bit of shopping around the week after next. I have used a local tyre place for some new rubber on the Fiat and was happy with the service. I think they can pretty much get a hold of anything but we will see

  • I competed in a two day hillclimb event this weekend, with gravel on the saturday and tarmac on the sunday.

Here's my fastest run on the gravel, Haven't had chance to get the tarmac in car off the gopro yet

  • brilliant. really enjoyed the ride.

  • A guy at the event was running his drone, I appear at 45secs in i think. Some other cool cars in this vid

    https://youtu.be/noUNO-bmMR8

  • That is a much cooler perspective.

We have family in Otago - Dept head at the Uni. Need to go there when our local Govt handles the pandemic as well as yours.

  • I reckon Christmas is going to see me in two grands worth of easily sellable, random estate

    dibs when you sell

  • The E63-S is ~5 miles away from me, so maybe not! But, they're not responding to my attempts to communicate, so who knows.

What inexpensive estate is the LFGSS choice of stop-gap? Least boring answer gets the most consideration.

  • Not a fan of that red e46?!
