  • Plenty of fond memories but they came to a bit of a sad end. Battered and bruised - 10 days in hospital and a bad back for life. But, I was lucky.

  • That looks a sorry state, but glad to hear it wasn't any worse. Also if it was in the UK thank goodness for the NHS. I imagine a tumble like that would inevitably change your outlook on things.

  • It was an eye opener. Long time ago now but I will suffer with my back forever. 130 mph into a wall and pillar - my fault and a hard lesson to learn. I always thought it would be a car that got me - I got that wrong. I will say that I had an expensive jacket with a Kevlar back pad - I think that saved me so ANYONE out there - get the best kit you can - hopefully you won’t need it but when you do it makes a difference.
