HSBC’s dispute team have processed my application - made when I had spent 10 hours on hold to YT with no response, and no response to my cancellation email.
I have now made contact with YT, albeit to no actual conclusion as they’re saying that they won’t do anything until DHL admits that they have the bike and are returning it.
So I’m uncertain what to do - I have now had contact, but we are still beyond the refund time-limit that YT specify on their site. Why are we past that time-limit? Because YT ignored my cancellation email and sent me the bike anyway, which DHL then massively fucked around with the delivery thereof.
DHL guy clearly lied to his boss and said he’d delivered the bike on Wednesday, presumably to meet a target, so I think the problem there is going to be how he now squares the delivery being refused for a return-to-sender situation when he marked it down as a signed for delivery days ago.

Maybe I should call the disputes team.
