  • Looks good in the flesh, I like the shade of blue. How does the internal bezel operate, pull to engage or screw down?

@jaybee Nice Sinn, guess the red hand is a limited edition..? I have the same silicon band and very nearly tossed it up when cutting so my advice is go in small increments. Also I’ll be honest and say I didn’t gel with the thickness of the band relative to the size of the watch and went back to the bracelet which is well worth owning.

  • Thanks! I’m not sure if it’s a limited edition, but I didn’t want the standard model with numerals and thought the date window didn’t really work on it. The red second hand makes it a bit less plain, but still minimal.

I will be very careful with the band! It does seem large, esp the clasp which is a big chunk of metal, although it’s beautifully made. I’ve already scratched the clasp, I like to get my wear and tear in early.....

My Tudor is a bigger watch but has a much less obtrusive silicon band. I’ll see how the Sinn feels when I’ve cut the band down and will put some pics up.

  • I didn’t realise they make so many iterations of the 556 now, interesting. It’s super versatile though and my go-to waterproof watch so it tends to live on a Barton silicon or the bracelet although I reckon it would work well on a black horween leather too. Enjoy it, congrats.
