Bit of chat a couple of pages ago about Simplisafe, both @stevo_com and @lowbrows have opted for Simplisafe, I'm probably going to order it today. I'm going for Simpissafe as all the smart tech in my house is set up on Google, so Ring doesn't play that well.

Fingers crossed that the neighbours find it more difficult than expected to get finance in a timely manner (which is generally the case at the moment).
Definitely worth a mid week call next week to the agents to remind them of the 1 week 'deadline'.
You might know this already, but be prepared to not get 20% deposit mortgage rates if you've gone above asking price. 80% products will be available to you based on the lender's valuation of the property that you're buying not the purchase price, so if the lender doesn't agree with the purchase price, you'll have to go for an 85% mortgage, or put in the difference. -

Why else would you pay for the subscription?
Looking forward to what you produce. -

Thanks for offering your wisdom!
Not a "large" payment in comparison to some of that chat in here but what are my options for sub £50K from Natwest in one day? Just CHAPS over the phone?

For anyone thinking about Simplisafe, we've had our system for a year now and it's been great, no complaints.

Her new album is fantastic, cats parts is debatable though.

Cheers, this will be the first bit of smart tech we put in (sad but true). So looking at a solid alarm that will expand with us over time.

• #39409
Perfect, have you had it monitored?

Last time I did this for a similar amount I paid for CHAPS.

~£20 for a Chaps payment (3pm cut-off, same working day), or if you're a personal customer then break it into payments on separate days, or use a challenger bank to re-group the payments first if it has to go as one transaction. Revolut free personal account is good for this (insured up to £85k).
Natwest might try to sell you 'Bankline' over the phone but it's nothing special (£20 a month for business features/limits for personal customers).

I wasn't sure whether you'd have your belly button as the mouth or not, so played it safe.

I know for a fact that @chrisbmx116 has an innie

Haha
Not totally convinced Samsung isn't giving out these TVs to select forum influencers to make us all buy their tellies.

If you mean I'm penniless and based in Dalston, then yes!
-
• #39420
Can't just be me that doesn't like the weird white telly, it looks wrong
-
• #39421
Agree, it’s too big and spindly
-
• #39422
Also doesn’t the bezel sticking out put a strip of it in shadow?
-
• #39423
This is incredible.
-
• #39424
I don't like it (looks like a toy chalkboard and like it'll topple over backwards) but then I think all modern TVs look wrong.

*shakes fist at sky
Thanks for that.
Guess it comes down to whether the seller will wait long enough.
Not sure what difference a week will make to the neighbour's estimates of affordability or likelihood of getting a mortgage.
We've got agreement in principle, will put down 80%+ deposit and our house sale is set for end of Jan.
The house went on the market on Saturday, first viewings Monday, we viewed it Tuesday, by Wednesday it had 3+ offers. Neighbour had to act quick!
