Saudi Arabia is not on the safe travel list, so they would be subject to 14 days self isolation on arrival regardless of any other Christmas relaxation.
Looks like they are allowed to self isolate with family and friends on arrival if that is where they are staying, but means no one else can visit.
I'm not sure where that advice falls in relation to tier 2 restrictions which suggest you can't have anyone to visit.
Would it be breaking the law if my sister in-law who live in Saudi with her husband and 2 kids, flew over and stayed with us over Christmas, apart from then breaking the rule of 6.
Asking for another family member, who believes that because this is where they stay when they do come back, its fine..
My personal opinion is that they shouldn't apart from the rule of 6 being broken, tier 2 aren't allowed to have people stay who don't live in the house.
