  • Depends on the bank. Eg. Barclays has a £50k limit for single transfers online, you can do up to £100k in any 24h period. On the phone or via app it is usually less. I would call up and ask your bank, it’s worth flagging it to them in any case as even smaller transfers could be temporarily held due to money laundering etc which can then simply be waved through

  • Only partially correct, it depends on the bank and the account type...

    Barclays
    Personal: £10,000
    Premier: £30,000
    Business: £50,000
(new payee has a £2,000 limit for Personal accounts, and £5,000 to Premier accounts)

Lloyds Banking Group (Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland)
£25,000 (differs for Websaver or Express Cash accounts)

NatWest Group (RBS, NatWest and Ulster)
£20,000 (differs depending on the payment journey, type of account, and the use of a card reader)

    HSBC
    £25,000

    Santander
    £250,000

    Nationwide
    £10,000

    Danske
    £25,000

    AIB UK
£20,000 (differs depending on the authentication method)

    Revolut
£250,000 (daily and weekly limits based on tier)

    Etc.

  • Cool list but those Barclays numbers are wrong. I sent a £100k free CHAPS payment online on Monday.

I suspect the other numbers are equally irrelevant if they only refer to Faster Payments.
