Depends on the bank. Eg. Barclays has a £50k limit for single transfers online, you can do up to £100k in any 24h period. On the phone or via app it is usually less. I would call up and ask your bank, it’s worth flagging it to them in any case as even smaller transfers could be temporarily held due to money laundering etc which can then simply be waved through

When buying this place, it wasn't a huge deposit, so transfer was easy. This time round I'm going to have to send about 70k with the rest coming from the sale of our place. When and how do I do that? Is it on the day or beforehand so that it's in place? Online I think I have a limit of 20k per day, do we need to go to a branch? I moved everything into the one account last week so at least it only has to come from one place.
