  • Freestanding bath owners (@6pt)... what are they like day to day? Tiles needed? Obvs room to clean around it needed, anything else I need to know? Have all my bathroom kit in my basket waiting on Black Friday...

  • Are you buying an old roll-top? If so they're a real pain to manoeuvre upstairs and it takes some time to find nice taps/fittings for them (if needed), but otherwise no problems at all and they keep the water hotter for longer!

We got ours for £80 from down towards Brighton, bargain.

Do you have a separate shower?

I have a roll top, and it's easy to clean around, easy to clean it, and it's lovely.

But... I don't have a separate shower yet, so that bit is a PITA. There's no really great solution to showering in a roll-top because there's really not a standing space given the entire bottom has curvature, and then shower curtains fit badly even with the right fittings, and yeah... it's a PITA.

If you have a separate shower, a freestanding bath is wonderful.
