Trump touting "IT Expert" evidence of voter fraud today.

The IT Expert in question is a failed GOP candidate and donor and his affidavit has already been laughed out of court on account of his main evidence of voter numbers not matching turned out to be based on him confusing Michigan and Minnesota.

I would be fascinated to know if Trump understands this or not. Is he as thick as pig shit or does he just know his base are as thick as pig shit?

I mean, we know he is not smart....but is he actually this utterly dense?

He's been a desperate, emotionally-abused loser all his life who has tried to work hard to cover that up by means of the superficial trappings of wealth. He's chock-full of crippling complexes that prevent him from functioning/thinking properly, and now that his previously 'successful' shtick of talking utterly incoherent, stream-of-thought bollocks has stopped working, he's just losing it completely. It would be sad if you could still have any compassion for him, which even his psychologist niece says she can't have for him any more.

i found Twitter a much better experience when I unfollowed/muted/turned off retweets for certain people and really made my timeline focus on what I care about seeing.

This. I've got a fairly low threshold for people boring me on Twitter and getting muted. It means 80%+ of what I see on Twitter I find interesting.

I dont think he is dumb. I just think he does not care that what he and his lackeys say makes no sense as long as the message echos in the media. Its certainly working. Perhaps not always in a good way but to a lot of folks all they hear is fraud and thats what they are going to remember.

As Stonehedge says, there are questions to ask about his business acumen. There's also a lot of so far undiscovered country (well, except for those who've been there) about his links to organised crime.

I wasn't talking about his business life so much, though, more about his personal life, of which we now know more following all the revelations of recent years, including his niece's book.

It's public knowledge that he lied about his net worth decades ago to procure massive loans which he used to start his ventures. His businesses have declared bankruptcy six times so far - his "wealth" is made up almost entirely of credit and loans he's using to pay other loans. The theory that the donations he's been gathering to fight the election results are in fact going towards paying his campaign expenses tracks with he's business practices so far.

As for rehabilitating his image in American history - it's going to happen. It happened with Bush in our lifetimes and it will happen with Trump. I wish I could say with confidence that Biden wont pardon him, but it's hard to feel secure in that statement as the idea that it may be presented, and in turn lapped up by centrist Liberals, as a gesture of unity and healing is uncomfortably real.

Or he does have wealth but rich people don't get/stay rich by spending their own money when you can get some other mug to do so instead

Not many people can afford to run an airliner on their inheritance, but what trump has managed to do is spend vast amounts of money his whole life and somehow not become personally bankrupt. Hopefully this will change soon.

That wasn't his money - it was loans/investments that he again, was able to procure because he lied about his worth.

Pretty much this. Bush and Cheney set up an international torture network and all Obama did was shrug and say let’s move forwards. If you’re not going to prosecute that, what are you going to prosecute?

That said, it would be just like the Democrats to pursue Trump for something relatively inconsequential because they’re more offended by his crimes against politeness than they are by the breaking of the Geneva convention.

Yeah this is true, I still think Bush and Cheney are notable outliers in the international crime stakes tho. Wars and assassinations are the norm for America, but state sanctioned torture / and on that scale - was relatively novel.
