It's bolted on the upper tabs on the back and through the bottom back mounting holes with longer brackets I think.
The canopy adds a whole extra layer of fun to this, so beware.
I strip ours once a year in the spring to get all the sultana's, rice cake, various other bits of crap out crammed everywhere.
And no, you cannot complete this task during afternoon naptime.
