  • That's what worries me - people getting the first dose then carry on as though they're superman, despite the vaccine not being properly effective until after the second dose - which they don't go back for...

    If there's a 15% dropout rate between the first & second doses in the trial what's it going to be like in the general population? This combined with the various conspiracy theory twats & the sort of folk that will ingest vast quantities of random pills / dubious powders every weekend but not a medical product as they "don't know what's in it mate" gives me the mild fear

  • Qantas have said international passengers will need to be vaccinated. If enough businesses make similar rules then that will provide an incentive for people to get both doses.

    There needs to be a route for those that can't have the vaccine, eg because they are immunocompromised.

  • Also, with possible side effects including headaches - I worry that if loads of people get wiped out by headaches for a couple days after dose 1, how keen will they be to get the bigger dose 2 a few weeks later? Like you say, drop out rate could be significantly higher in general population.
