Didn't use google music, but spotify is worth a shot. You can download the free version (and possibly get a month free premium with all the functionality) and see if the massive catalogue is to your tastes. The premium version lets you stream and create playlists with their catalogue, can't play your own uploaded or hard-disc files. They have radio-station-based.... which has gotten a lot better IMO. Premium lets you play whatever song/s you want however many times ou want, free one doesn't. You can have a single account on like 3 devices, which is useful. I'd recommend trying it.

Thru axle wheels. Will they become the standard on mid-range and higher road bikes and road wheels in the next 5 years?
UTFSB, didn't find it discussed. Any thoughts?
Edit- and are they worth it on a road bike today?
Edit2- had asked if thru axles have any benefits other than making disc brakes a bit safer, but then I fell down a tubular/clincher/tubeless rabbit hole... Apparently rim brakes are holding us all back (no pun intended)?

Yes probably.

Anyone know where I can buy a Corima XDR freehub body? Google-fu not doing it for me.

I'd go Pi4 rather than zero. Although your NAS may well be able to run it

Does anyone know what the function of the o-rings are in the Rotor Aldhu/Vegast chainset is?
I've just purchased Vegast 24mm cranks but I didn't get any o-rings in box and the instructions suggest I should have and use two.
Using the included spacers and the preload collar I don't have any lateral play but don't know if I should wait until replacements turn up to ride? It's also not really clear which order the spacers and o-rings are supposed to go in...

What is the best, and neatest way to forward lots of emails to someone using outlook?
For background, I have been liaising with Company A - mainly one person, but up to 3-4 and I want to send all the email comm.s received to someone.
Is there some cute solution which adds index/similar or should I just search from "companya.com", export to a zip and attach.
Pretty sure the person I'm sending them to uses Macs, so also want to avoid making life harder for them (I'm using W10 & Office 365).
Cheers.

So I’ve ordered a Vitamix (E310) and not sure where to start with smoothie recipes.
I’m thinking breakfast, don’t have any dietary restrictions though I’d like to stay away from overly processed stuff like protein powders and such.
I know there’s a plethora of stuff on the web, but I trust you all more... -

Buy frozen berries, lots of them. Cheaper than fresh but frozen fresh at point of origin, super healthy, last nearly indefinitely, make anything better. Also a clever way of making cold smoothies instead of using ice cubes.
Ground flaxseed, chia seeds, bananas, oats, pecan or similar nuts, peanut butter, honey or agave syrup, flaked almonds, desiccated coconut. Add 2 tablespoons of any or several of the above to 1:2 proportion coconut or normal milk, and you’re good to go.
Edit- my go-to when I’m in a rush is 1 cup coconut milk, 2 tablespoons oats or almonds, 2 tablespoons flaxseed, 1/2-3/4 cup frozen berries, 1-2 tablespoons peanut butter.

Got a fine from Hermes for £10, saying my parcel was over their limit (size and weight).
Paid it as I didn’t want to delay the delivery, but I knew it wasn’t too big. When it arrived the recipient weighed it and and it was 5kg under the limit.. what gives? Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it’s worth complaining? (subjectively, as it’s £10.. but double what I paid initially).
Reminded me why I never use Hermes anyway..

No, but I never use Hermes.
if it’s worth complaining?
Doubt it.
Reminded me why I never use Hermes anyway.
Not an entirely wasted exercise then.

Thanks, really comprehensive!
When you say "oats" I assume you mean rolled, not steel cut. From what I hear and read rolled oats are too quickly absorbed into our system plus a few other minuses vs steel cut. I think my blender (don't have it yet) will be capable of taking on steel cut oats though I'm not sure I'd be any better off than with rolled.
I think I want to add in some kind of dark greens, maybe kale or a type of chard. -

They also use volumetric weight and just take whichever is greater. Might it be that?

Ugh. Vacuum cleaner has died. Is there a forum-approved shortlist of not shit but not stupid expensive vacuum cleaners? (hard floors and carpets) We already have a little D*s*n thing that isn't up to a whole house worth of cleaning up after kids.
(my suggestion of a workshop wet & dry vac that I can also plug into dust extraction for power tools met with a deathly silence)

The next 2 pages will be people saying "Miele" with the occasional "Henry" thrown in.
To answer the obvious question, yes, Miele are worth the £££.

Are their bagless ones any good? I know they resisted for years.

Doesn't have to be super expensive, the ~£150 C1 ones are very good. Are their bagless ones any good? I know they resisted for years.
Yeah, partner has one. Very good too. Different league to the Dyson she had before

Doesn’t have dark greens, but my favourite green juice is:
1 cup orange juice, chilled or add 2 ice cubes
1/2 chopped pineapple
1/2 cucumber
1/2 celery stalk
1 Tbsp fresh parsley
Sweeten with honey to taste -

Electricians, what's the easiest way to integrate emergency lighting into a circuit?
Say I have 10 lights (a mix of normal bulkhead lights, interspersed with non-maintained combined emergency lights) that are all operated by a single switch, does this mean that the emergency lighting would turn on every time I switch the other lights off? Would I need to run a permanent live to the emergency lights?
Essentially I want to light a big room and operate the lot with one switch, but have half the lights function as emergency lights. Is this stupid? Should I just have some emergency lights on an entirely separate circuit?
What recommendations for something easy for the computer-literacy-challenged?
I keep getting spotify ads. Is that the closest to google music?
I almost never use the radio-station-based-on-your-likes type functions.
Mostly play my own playlists, a mix of owned and streamed tracks. Appreciate the downloaded tracks function for when the network's not too great. Often play full albums too.
Use audio chromecast a fair bit.
(Is there another thread for this? Not the Plex thread)
