Thats looking very good for you first time on the jump bike. I'm far from an expert on jumps and don't feel qualified to give anyone advice but in regards to what you say about stiff back, even in normal riding I have to consciously remind my self to try stay a little more relaxed around the shoulders and chest. I do a little ritual of rolling my shoulders and pretend I'm jelly before dropping into any chunky trails. It helps enormously but still catch my self tightening up mid run.
I really really want a jump bike now, I live within 40 minutes drive of 3 pump tracks. Seems daft not to
The jump bike is a lot of fun, and of course I have the YT arriving next week- so if anyone does actually want to enjoy themselves whilst working on skills, do give me a shout before I refuse the delivery.
