Track cogs are screw-on. IG hubs use a cog with three lugs that are held on by a sprung clip. They're not very expensive.

IGH newbie here... I've just got my hands on a wheel with a 3 speed Nexus and am looking into gearing options. I have an 18t cog from a track wheel that I want to use - can I fit it to the Nexus or do I need to get a specific cog?
