Didn't use google music, but spotify is worth a shot. You can download the free version (and possibly get a month free premium with all the functionality) and see if the massive catalogue is to your tastes. The premium version lets you stream and create playlists with their catalogue, can't play your own uploaded or hard-disc files. They have radio-station-based.... which has gotten a lot better IMO. Premium lets you play whatever song/s you want however many times ou want, free one doesn't. You can have a single account on like 3 devices, which is useful. I'd recommend trying it.
What recommendations for something easy for the computer-literacy-challenged?
I keep getting spotify ads. Is that the closest to google music?
I almost never use the radio-station-based-on-your-likes type functions.
Mostly play my own playlists, a mix of owned and streamed tracks. Appreciate the downloaded tracks function for when the network's not too great. Often play full albums too.
Use audio chromecast a fair bit.
(Is there another thread for this? Not the Plex thread)
